Maddy started the Youth Dance Company in 2009, in partnership with Highgate Ballet School.  The company was developed to give enthusiastic and talented young dancers the opportunity to learn, develop, and perform choreography, and to work with professional dancers. In a supportive and challenging environment, YDC nurtures creativity, artistic development, technical excellence, and discipline, and aims to open the eyes of participants to the world of professional dance. Maddy brings in guest teachers and choreographers from across the UK to create original work on the dancers of the company. Each season also includes new choreography from Maddy, herself.

Since it's founding, YDC has performed at theatres such as The Arts Depot, Sadlers Wells Lilian Baylis Theatre, Bernie Grant Arts Centre, The Albany Theatre, The Southbank Centre, Jackson's Lane, Rich Mix, and the Victoria & Albert Museum, and joined Tempered Body Dance Theatre in their 2014 tour.

YDC continues to grow and now includes both a junior and a senior company, and hosts an annual Summer Dance

"Combining artistic vision with the ability to get the very best out of all of her students, whatever their ability, is a real skill. Maddy has it in spades" Jenny Beck
